Welcome to my blog!
I have been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 10 years. I love helping people, especially because I’m using a remedy that isn’t harmful or attached to a long list of side effects. I work closely with my patients to help guide them to wellness using Acupuncture, Nutrition, Chinese massage, meditation techniques, yoga positions, cranio-sacral therapy. and other modalities. I believe all of these modalities can help restore a patient back to health. I wanted to create this blog for my patients who are interested in how TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) philosophy can help them, as well as sharing the latest science and news on nutrition and holistic remedies.
Over 10 years ago, in 2001, I was in a terrible burn accident after a pressure cooker exploded in my face. I suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 11% of my body and spent over 2 weeks in ICU. Although my face healed without scarring, I still have keloids and scars from skin grafts and other deep wounds that still remind me today of how lucky I am to be alive. During that journey, I took pain killers, anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications to help me through the pain and post-traumatic stress disorder. Unfortunately, while those medicines helped me through severe pain, they also almost took my life. The side effects took their toll on my body and mind and I promised myself I would find another way to treat my symptoms, and I did. It is my mission to help anyone who wants an alternative to pharmaceutical drugs to live a healthier and happier life using natural medicine. It is also my mission to keep my family healthy with nutrition and natural ways to help them when they are sick or in pain.
I currently work at St. Vincent’s Cancer Center, Fairfield County Integrative Medicine, and I have a private practice in Fairfield, Connecticut. I completed my undergraduate degree at New York University and finished my 4 year Master’s Degree at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, both Magna Cum Laude. I have been certified by Sloane Kettering to treat cancer patients, and have my certificate to teach children’s yoga.
